A project with photographer Pascal Schonlau exploring futuristic athletics and movements under the influence of technological developments in sport.
The collaboration consisted of Existential Pleasures Studio modelling and art directing the 3D scenes. Pascal photographed the models and seamlessly integrated them into the CGI worlds.
SEVENSTORE X NEW BALANCE
We worked on the concept, art direction and animation sections for a feature film celebrating the release of the New Balance ‘Sea Salt’ 9060. Shot by videographer Percy Dean, the concept revolved around the idea the idea of a hopeful and resilient explorer scouring the desert in search of ‘beautiful relics’ from times past. What he actually uncovers are parts of a futuristic artefacts which when fully formed unlock the true power of the desert.
NIKE KUKINI-VERSE
The KUKINI-VERSE in collaboration with Sevenstore was a virtual online world in which users could explore the origins of the re-released Nike Kukini Air Max trainer.
We meticulously designed everything from the layout of the building down to the individual character speech bubbles creating a vast array of content for users to explore and interact with.
ADIDAS X PETER SAVILLE
We created an animated feature for Sevenstore to present the release of the Peter Saville X Adidas Spezial trainer.
The story of the animation traced the scientific origins of the iconic unknown pleasures graphic featured on the shoe. Formed from pulsar readings in the deepest parts of space it revealed a new side to the iconic artwork many aren’t aware of. All assets were applied throughout the store and used on social channels
POST MALONE 2021 TOUR VISUALS
Working with Post Malone’s creative team to create a pack of live visuals for his 2021 tour of the US. We were given creative license to produce a variety of animated textures and ‘glitch’ like footage.
We worked alongside Post’s deeply experienced creative team to produce work that would be displayed on large digital displays to thousands of festival attendees.
LIMIT SEASON VISUALS
Experimental visuals created for a re-brand of the popular club-night ‘LIMIT’. We experimented deeply within form, texture and a variety of digital animation techniques such as liquid dynamics and vornoi fracturing of objects. These various experiments culminated in a collective of visual scenes which could be utilised across social channels and digitally projected during the events.
VISIONS OF LIGHT
'Visions of Light’ was an immersive livestream from Existential Pleasures which used a mix of audio and visual to transport viewers through a spectrum of unusual clubbing scenarios and an amalgamation of dystopian environments, combining digital experimentation of natural scenery alongside modern brutalist architecture to form striking worlds.
NIKE ACG EXPERIMENTAL
Experimental internal project based on the Nike ACG brand. Featuring inhouse designed custom ACG digital footwear and clothing, the video looks to take the viewer on a vast journey across the canyons of Utah. From dawn till dusk, our protagonist tackles the many contours of the harsh environment whilst exploring its vast reaches, exhibiting the immense trail running capabilities of the ACG apparel.
LUKE BRIENT JEWELLERY
Branding, 3D animations and social strategy created and implemented for Luke Brient, a jeweller based within Norfolk, UK. We created a variety of visuals ranging from more simple visuals focusing purely on the forms and intricacies of the pieces to detailed nature environments reflecting Luke’s hometown surroundings.
All visuals were applied across social channels on Luke’s brand launch with high engagement received throughout.
ARTIFICIAL ENVIRONMENTS
‘Artificial Environments’ was a club night concept which looked explore a future vision of the world where natural environments are emulated and enhanced by technology.
The visuals looked to balance realism with surrealism in order to push the boundaries of what a human would perceive to be part of nature in the modern world.
